Maxine L. Courtwright Wise, 90, of Moundsville, WV, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Belmont Manor, St. Clairsville Ohio.
She was born October 8, 1921 in Cameron, WV, a daughter of the late Harley and Della Chapline Courtwright.
She was a former employee of the Fostoria Glass Company, Moundsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer Wise; two brothers, Burdette and Wilbert Courtwright; four sisters, Imogene Glover, Mildred Rhome, Monell Ross and Wilma Ward.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Lee Gordon and her husband, Doug, of Benwood, WV; Sharon Kaye Clegg and her husband, Milt, of Beldon, MS; four grandchildren, Tammy (Ed) Bober of St. Clairsville; Theresa (Harry) Rountree of Beaufort, SC; Doug Gordon of Tupelo, MS; Marcus (Angela) Clegg of Saltillo, MS; nine great-grandchildren, Kylie, Audrey and Craig Bober; Autumn Clegg, Zachary and Travis Ondeck, Taylor Murphy, Lance, Hayden and Tyler Gordon; a very special friend, Mary Bober.
Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
