Frieda Driscoll, 85, of Shadyside, Ohio died Thursday July 5, 2012.
She was born October 1, 1926 in Darmstadt, Germany, a daughter of the late Kellner Matthaus and Luise Sophie Marie (Schafer) Reder.
She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, Ohio and worked as a cashier for Kroger.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Driscoll in August 1995, a daughter, Eldora Driscoll, a brother, Theo Reder and two sisters, Leisel Collen and Joann Henry.
She is survived by her four children, Margarete (Joseph) Simmons, of Shadyside, Ohio, William Driscoll of Charleston, WV Judith (Joseph) Giove of Memphis, TN and Jackie (Pete) Bizzari of Shadyside, Ohio, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Thursday July 12, 2012 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory 3900 Central Ave Shadyside, Ohio 43947 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass Friday July 13 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Shadyside, Ohio at 10am with Father Samuel Saprano as Celebrant.
Vigil service in the funeral home Thursday at 7:30pm
Interment in Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont County Animal Shelter or Valley Hospice.
