Suzanne Nagler Nikolaus, 77, of Summit Ave., St.Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior at home with her family by her side. She was born July 8, 1935 in Yorkville, Ohio to Helen McAninch Nagler and the late Adolph Nagler. Sue was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church where she was a volunteer for many years. Grammy, as she was called by her family, will be mostly remembered for all the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and her "adopted" families. Sue was preceded in death by her father, several brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law. Suzanne is survived by her mother Helen, her loving and devoted husband of 57 years Louis H. Nikolaus, her children; Becky (Rob) Campbell, Louisville, KY, Bobby (Madeleine) Nikolaus, Hilliard, OH, Judy (Barry) Peters, Bethesda, OH and Bill (Amber) Nikolaus, Grove City, OH, sisters; Judy Brown, Marcia (Bill) Langford and Johanna Vinci, her brother Adolph (Mary) Nagler; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Ashley) Sowers, Josh Sowers, Alivia, Patrick, Rebecca, Stephen Nikolaus, her great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Sowers, a very caring, loving and selfless family Chuck and Joyce Snider and boys and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory , 204 West Main Street, St.Clairsville, Ohio. Family and friends are then invited to attend Suzanne' s funeral service Thursday at 11 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, St.Clairsville with Pastor Donna Kraus officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, St.Clairsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St.Clairsville Food Pantry, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 110 South Marietta Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 Suzanne's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Donna Kraus for her years of prayers and support, all of Sue's and Lou's church friends who helped with transportation, cards food and prayer and all of the many doctors, nurses and aides who assisted her in her care. Sue, may you find comfort as you watch down on your family and friends knowing you nurtured them with love, laughter and joy. May you find peace, knowing you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and you have kept the faith. Be at rest once more O' My Soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
