CANNON, Anna Marie Vergot, 86, of Moundsville WV, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at home. Anna was born in Steelton PA on May 24, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Steve and Frances Bratina Vergot. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Ramith E. "Bud" Cannon; five brothers and three sisters. Surviving are two sisters, Tillie Pilsitz of Steelton PA and Frances Rust of Pahrump NV; two brothers, Frank Vergot of Tampa FL and Fred Vergot of Harrisburg PA; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave. Moundsville WV on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 am at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville. Entombment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park where the Moundsville Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military services.
