Bob Green, 74, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 2, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Green, and two children Larry Boals and Annie Ware.
Bob proudly served in the United States Navy for 30 years. After his military career, Bob worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Police Officer. He was involved in the Disabled American Veterans and New Hope Community Fellowship Church in Hampton.
He is survived by his children, George Boals, Daniel Boals, Cynthia Thornton, Frances Bishop, Colesta Fleury, James Green, Michael Green, and Bobby Green; 29 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00PM in Altmeyer Riverside Funeral Home, 7415 River Road, Newport News, VA. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.altmeyer.com
