Sue Ann Merryman Koch, 53 of Aurora, Ohio, formerly of Shadyside, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Hospital, Cleveland Ohio, surrounded by her family.

Sue Ann was born May 23, 1956 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of Margaret Smith Merryman and the late William "Bill" Merryman.

She was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church, Poland, Ohio and the Benwood American Legion Post # 46 Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death was an infant brother, John Merryman.

Surviving is her husband, S. Douglas Koch, whom she married on September 4, 1976, her children, Stephanie Koch of Columbus, Ohio, Jaclyn (Jeff) Lowman of Virginia Beach, VA, Melissa (Adam) Bush of Kingsland, GA. and Elliott (Carrie) Koch of Aurora, Ohio, her mother Margaret Smith Merryman of Shadyside, 5 brothers, Thomas (Margie) Merryman of Shadyside, Kenneth "Willie" Merryman of Shadyside, Patrick Merryman of Sarasota, FL, Tim (Sharon) Merryman of Shadyside, Randy (Deanna) Merryman of Shadyside and a sister, Amy (Tom) Lowe of Shadyside, her mother-in-law Betty Dahn Koch of Aurora, formerly of Shadyside, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sue was always upbeat and had a positive outlook on life. She enjoyed helping people, outdoor activities, hiking, adored her family and enjoyed life to its fullest.

Family and friends will be received Friday, November 6, 2009 from 3p.m.-5p.m. & 6p.m.–9p.m. at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio and on Saturday from 9a.m. until 11a.m. when a Celebration of Sue Ann's life will begin, with Reverend Dr. Robert P. Hoover officiating.

Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
