Joseph M. Metz, 80, of Moundsville, WV died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at home.
He was born March 24, 1929 in Moundsville, a son of the late John M. and Blanche Taylor Metz.
Mr. Metz was a retired employee of the WV Penitentiary, Moundsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John M. Metz in 2008; a grandson, Joseph "Joe Joe" Baker; three brothers, Jack, Peter, and Frank Metz; a sister, Anna Mae Metz.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Neely Metz; a son, Joseph M. Metz and his wife, Fran, of Glen Easton; a daughter, Iris M. Baker and her husband, Bobby, of Moundsville; a brother, David Metz of Moundsville; a sister, Sue Gregory of NC; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Private services and interment at Rice Ridge Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
