Reva V. McClain
Portsmouth – Reva Virginia McClain, 87 went home to be with her Lord, on Monday, July 19, 2010. Mrs. McClain was born in Richmond, VA to the late John and Dora Greene Christian. She was a member of the Committee of 100 Women, the New Bethel Baptist Church, and an Avon Lady for 40 years. Mrs. McClain was a community giver. She was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow McClain, Sr,, and daughter, Rita McClain
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Woodrow Jr., Michael R. and Maurice K. McClain; daughters, Sandra D. Robinson, Patricia M. Lemons and granddaughter she raised, Natoria McClain; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Twiford Chapel, Chesapeake, VA on Thursday, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 12:00 pm.. Internment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
