My dear Aunt Phyllis, cousins Joani and Susan, My heart is heavy for the passing of my Uncle Forrest and your father. What a wonderful fun and most loving man he was. As a Naval officer he was dedicated, but most dedicated he was to his family. He shared such love. As a child I always looked forward to all of you coming to Columbus for vacation to share that fun and love. I am ever so thankful that I was able to visit last year and be around Uncle and all of you not knowing it would be the last time. Dear Phyllis,
I am saddened to hear of Sully's passing. He was my best buddy and steadfast flying companion on many sunny days and dark rainy nights in VF-33. I will always remember him as that young man who soared with me so high in God's sky. May God comfort you in your sorrow.

You have been on my mind recently wondering how your dad was doing. Being so close to your father I know his passing was difficult for all of you. May God's presence and loving care be with you.

Phyllis: I am sorry to hear about Sully. I was the Air Force exchange pilot assigned to VF-33. Sully was my RO and taught me the in and outs of the Navy. He had a big job keeping me out of Trouble. I have fond memories of our time together. In 2006 Nancy and I had a great time with you and Sully at the Reunion. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless.
