I am out of town, so I could not come to personally pay my respects. What a great man Meek was. He thought outside the box and really had a great view and down to earth attitude on ways to help his community. I always enjoyed talking with him, and I like many others, appreciate what he did for his community. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time of loss.

I did not get to know Meek personaly but from what I've heard and read the world will be a lesser place without him in it. I am a member of Ionic #438 I was at the masonic service for him and I can tell you that we will pray for you and your family during these trying times. We will all miss brother Duvall. We are truely sorry for your loss if we can help in any way please let us know.It was an honor for us to be there for the service for him. And once again let me say we are very sorry for your loss.

Our families thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I will miss my on the street talks with Meek. He always had time to chat. When we talked it would eventually lead back to the days when dad would leave one glove on the bottom step of your home in Neffs, a signal to Meek when he came home from work, that he needed help at the old Gunite Shop across the street. If there are steps to heaven, I'm sure there was a glove on the bottom one. To Meek, Rest easy my friend.

He was so concerned about education and served Bellaire Schools with integrity and knowledge. He loved you so much and was alays eager to share information about you - your activities and your health. I am so sorry that I will be out of town this weekend and unable to attend the services. How do you begin to share your sorrow about someone like Meek ? He was a special and loving Man, a true example of how we should all live our lives. Meek was kind, caring, giving, a good friend to all who knew Him, a Father figure to those who spent time with Him, and a help to those who needed Him. He and Millicent were like second parents to my sister Barbara and I. They were never too busy to help and listen to us. He will be fondly missed. Love and prayers to all of his family.

We are very sorry to hear of Meeks passing. I have a lot of good memories of growing up and spending time with him and Millicent. Our prayers are with Millicent and the family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Meek. He was a special person. Always made me laugh. Never will forget all of many memories starting with being in he and Millicent's wedding as a flower girl.
