Carolina,
It's been a long time, but the one thing I remember when I was a kid in "the Oaks" was your smile. No matter how hard we had it, it was always there. No matter what anyone said to you, it was there. No matter what anyone did to you, it was there.
One day we will meet again and I'll see that smile I missed so much.

Your friend always,

Tony

May all of Carolina's family and friends find comfort in the legacy she left. To be remembered with so much love for such a giving person is a tribute to her life. She was so special to Missy, Mindy and me, Missy's grandmother. She will always be in our hearts. Bless all of you.

Don=t Grieve

Look to the sunrise, I'll watch it with you,
gaze at the stars and I'm there.
Feel the soft breeze in the afternoon,
that's me, gently brushing your hair.
I'm the unexpected giggle,
the tug pulling at your heart's strings.
The tear in your eye, the breath in your sigh,
part of me is in everything.
And though God has called me to heaven,
part of me remains ever with you.
So, please don't grieve, for I'll never leave,
I'll be with you in all that you do.
Bill, family, I remember the first time I met Carolina, and my life is better for the meeting. Her spirit and love light the way for all of us to live our lives more fully, more joyfully, more grateful. I'm so sorry for your loss, and want you to know there are many praying and caring for you! much love, john

Such a wonderful human in every respect. Carolina touched the lives of so many, and will always have a special place in all of our hearts. I will never forget the fact that I have my daughter, safe and alive because of Carolina. She saved Missy's life, and for that I am and will be eternally greatful. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I know your loss is huge, but, if you take a moment to look into the eyes of the lives that Carolina had a hand in guiding, you'll see a her spark of in their eyes.

Hi Carmen:
Tracey and I want to express to you our love and support for you and your entire family right now. We love you and join in with you and your family as you grieve during this time of loss; but we also celebrate the life of Carolina. We believe that her life has certainly made a wonderful difference in the lives of so many other people. As you and your family take this time to reflect on Carolina's life and her enduring strength throughout her courageous fight, we want to stand with all of your friends and family that will remind you that Carolina did not lose the fight. She won! She was victorious, regardless of what the outcome seems. I hope that she is remembered as a patriot and a champion, because she certainly did not choose to be a victim. She was courageous and that is inspiring!! Our Lord comforts us in John 11:25: He is the resurrection and the life; and He will hold your hand and I believe he is holding Carolina's right now so that we never have to experience pain or seperation from Him or any of our family and loved ones ever again. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you and your family. "Shalom": may God's love bless you and keep you in perfect peace.

To Carolinas loved ones, its hard to know what to say at a time like this. Although we all feel a tremendous loss, there is truly a glorious song Carolina left in our hearts. It sounds like laughter, empathy, compassion, patience, a few bitter tears shared, warm coffee in wee hours for a needy friend, honest words she was brave enough to say, and a chorus of strength to fight any battle no matter the out come. I like many others, will keep her song in my heart. My life is still a brighter place because she has left an impression on it that not even time can touch. She will always be missed, but never forgotten. I love you all and keep you in my prayers.

My condolences to Carolina's family. I grew up with Carolina while living in Wellington Oaks in Norfolk. My fondest memories of childhood included Carolina and Carmen, the Brinkers, Dinini's, Sparrows and too many more to list here. Those were simpler and precious times. My heart is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a dear friend. May God bless your family.
